I’ve been a huge fan of Michael Hyatt since his first podcast, This is Your Life. His latest podcast, Lead to Win is building upon that experience and is co-hosted with his daughter, and COO of his company, Megan Hyatt Miller.
What You Can Learn
While reading his bio you might get the feeling that you’re dealing with someone that has the “success gene” that all of us strive for, where health and wealth just magically come to him, but it’s not true. Yes, he was the former CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers, now the CEO of his own company. Yes, he is a husband that’s been married for DECADES. Yes, he is a father to FIVE daughters. Yes, he takes the time to work out every single day. Yes, he’s volunteered his time and has been heavily involved with his church. That’s not even all of it – he’s done more; however, he will be the first to remove that veil and let you see behind the curtain.
Recently the Podcast was changed to include different members of his company leadership, including his daughter, Megan Hyatt Miller. Michael and his crew continually share stories about their professional and personal life and are very clear of the pitfalls that you can run into if you don’t take the time to set goals for the things that are important to you.
Michael preaches (strong word, yes, but it’s fitting) balance and priority. As a professional with high aspirations for all things I’ve found his approach to being a professional, husband, father and friend is in alignment with my personal goals as a professional, husband, father and friend. His podcast covers a wide range of topics from goal setting to dealing with personal issues that are preventing you from being your best self.
